In this final course of the CCNA training series, Troubleshooting and Exam Prep for Cisco CCNA 200-125/200-105, you will first examine how to set up a home lab with physical gear along with some virtual options if you want to go that route. Next, you will explore sample exam questions to see what your exam questions may look like. Last, you will wrap up the series with a demonstration of a broken network and then use your CCNA skills to troubleshoot and solve the network issues presented. You will be able to download config files, build the broken network in your own environment, and troubleshoot the network along side the video demonstration. By the end of the course and subsequently the other 18 courses in this learning path, you will be ready to take your ICND2 or CCNA exams.
Course Overview Hi everyone. My name is Ross Bagurdes, and welcome to the final course in the CCNA series, Troubleshoot and Exam Prep for the CCNA 200-125 and 200-105 exams. I'm a network engineer with 20 years experience building and managing enterprise networks and teaching people about them. There is a tremendous amount of protocol knowledge required to pass the CCNA exam. This course will examine the lab equipment options you have to prepare for the exam, both physical gear and virtual options. We'll review some CCNA style questions and examine some logical approaches to answer those more troubling questions you'll experience, and then wrap up the course by building a broken network and troubleshooting the issues in it to restore network functionality. By the end of this course you'll have the information to choose the right type of lab for your situation and have new troubleshooting skills after building and repairing a broken network. Before beginning the course you should have completed all 18 previous courses in the CCNA training series. From here you should feel comfortable moving into more advanced networking topics, like in the CCNP series or in many of the Wireshark courses available at Pluralsight. Lab Gear Options Welcome to Pluralsight. I'm Ross Bagurdes. This course we're going to do some troubleshooting and exam prep tips for the Cisco CCNA exam, which is the 200-125 exam, and this will also be relevant for the ICND2 exam, which is numbered 200-105. In this first module we're going to look at some options for lab gear. So to start off, we're going to look at some lab equipment options. I'm going to talk about what I've been using in my lab, and then I want to demonstrate Cisco's packet tracer lab simulation software.
CCNA Sample Questions Welcome to Pluralsight. I'm Ross Bagurdes. In this next module we're going to look at some CCNA sample questions. Now when you take the CCNA you have to sign an agreement saying that you're not going to talk about what's on the exam, however, what I want to do here is give you some sample questions that are similar to the style that you might see on the CCNA, and then I want to give you some tips about how to solve those problems. So in this module what I want to do is review some of those test taking tips. Now I have covered this before when we did the ICND1 review course. I've taken some of that information and I've incorporated it here, but I've also created new questions for us to examine, and see how we can solve some of those questions. I do recommend before taking the CCNA you go through the ICND1 review session, as well as this review session for the entire CCNA exam here. We're going to review some test taking tips, and then I want to discuss these sample questions.
Troubleshooting CCNA Skills Welcome to Pluralsight. I'm Ross Bagurdes. In this very last module of the CCNA series we're going to look at some troubleshooting skills that'll benefit you both as a network engineer and on the CCNA exam. Let's look at the goals for this module. I first want to introduce our lab network, take a look at a few of the components on it and the drawing, then since we're using OSPF in this network, and I've taken great care to make sure that OSPF is broken, I want to review the OSPF neighbor relationship requirements. Next, I want to go back to our lab and troubleshoot the network issues that are in that environment, and then after successfully configuring our network, troubleshooting all of the little issues that I've created. What I want to do then is I want to wrap up with reviewing the EIGRP neighbor relationship requirements, and that way you can use the same exact skill set you used for the OSPF troubleshooting within EIGRP as well.
