Course Overview
Hi everyone. My name is Scott Lee, and welcome to my course, Salesforce Administration: The Big Picture. I am the director and CEO of Elega Corporation, have been involved in Salesforce development for many years, hold a number of Salesforce certifications, and have constructed Salesforce integrations with outside systems throughout my career. Did you know that Salesforce is not just a customer relationship management, or CRM, platform, but can also be a general platform for creating business applications, and as an admin, you have the power to snap these apps together with point-and-click configuration? In this course, we will touch base on almost every major area that makes Salesforce so powerful. Some of the major topics that we will cover include creating custom objects and records, understanding automation tool features, setting up reports and dashboards, extending Salesforce with third-party packages, and creating page layouts to view data. By the end of this course, you'll know the high-level capabilities of the Salesforce platform and have a sense of where the admin toolset fits for a number of use cases. This course is designed to introduce Salesforce admin concepts to the absolute beginner. It requires absolutely no prerequisites. From here, you should feel comfortable diving into Salesforce administration with courses on building your first Salesforce application using tools like Process Builder and workflow and learning how to make more complex reports, just to name a few examples. I hope you'll join me on this journey to learn Salesforce administration with the Salesforce Administration: The Big Picture course, at Pluralsight.
