Course Overview Hi, my name is Matt Milner and welcome to my course, Microsoft Azure: The Big Picture. I'm an independent consultant and a trainer working in web, mobile, and cloud technologies, presently. And this course is an overview course of Microsoft Azure, it's Microsoft's cloud services platform, and this course is intended to give developers, developer managers, and others an understanding of the capabilities and features available in Microsoft's cloud. Some of the major topics that we'll cover include the compute and data building blocks you can use to deliver solutions, and that much of Azure is built upon, the messaging and data processing solutions available in Azure, managing and monitoring Azure resources and services, and Azure Active Directory. By the end of this course you'll have an overall understanding of the Azure platform, and what it has to offer so you can make decisions about how you might leverage it to build your solution. From here you should feel comfortable diving into specific courses on Azure technology such as, Azure Infrastructure as a Service, Azure web sites, or web applications, Azure compute and storage, just as some examples. I hope you'll join me on this journey to learn about Microsoft Azure here at Pluralsight.
